Portrait of Michael Kolowich For the past 25 years, DigiNovations’ founding producer, Michael Kolowich, has been on the vanguard of connecting people and technology. A former media executive and prominent architect in the internet content revolution, Michael is a nationally recognized business strategist, technology executive, and Emmy-winning creative talent. He founded and led NewsEdge Corporation, Ziff/Davis Interactive (ZDNet) and PC/Computing. Michael also was VP of Marketing and Business Development at Lotus Development Corp and a VP and Partner at Bain and Company. Following his degrees at Harvard and Harvard Business School, Michael worked for CBS News and was an Emmy award winning reporter for WGBH-TV.
Portrait of Whit Wales Whit Wales is the studio’s creative officer and is responsible for ensuring that every client is delighted with the impact and effectiveness of every film produced at DigiNovations. He is a former president of the board of the National Professional Videographers Association of New England. He is also on the board of In[Focus] Video Event, the international educational and networking hub for DSLR filmmakers. From his work, earlier in his career, as an equity actor, to his commitment to directing and counseling secondary school students, as well as his distillation of personal lives and corporate entities through film and photography, Whit continues to prize authentic narratives, and the filming of compelling stories. Whit is a graduate of Amherst College and received an MFA from Southern Methodist University.
Portrait of Shawn Whitaker As Vice-President of Operations for the past 8 years, Shawn Whitaker brings state of the art expertise in quality control, technology management and production staffing. He is also an excellent shooter and editor in his own right. Shawn’s dedication to and passion for film production is unsurpassed. He has a degree in Media Technology from Newbury College and a certificate in Project Management from WPI.
Portrait of Barry Ouellette Barry Ouellette is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with over 35 years experience in digital media content creation. He has worked as an independent producer/director/writer/consultant in which his work carried him throughout the United States and even to the Marshall Islands where he produced two award winning documentaries on the state of health care in that region. Moreover, Barry has developed projects for hundreds of companies including, IBM, Parker Bros, FedEx, Fidelity Investments, Digital Equipment and John Hancock Insurance. Prior to joining DigiNovations, Barry was Manager of Multimedia and Web Communications at The Hanover Insurance Group, serving as creative director for a talented team of graphic designers, video professionals and web designers. Barry holds a BS in Broadcast Journalism from Suffolk University.
Portrait of Mont Fennel Prior to joining DigiNovations, Mont Fennel was a 16 year veteran at New England Cable News. He also served as Boston Correspondent for PBS’ Nightly Business Report. During that time, Mont produced nearly 4,000 stories, won 4 Emmy awards and was nominated for 17 more. Mont is a masterful producer, able to clarify complex ideas and stories in creative and interesting ways. Mont has traveled the country producing work for a multitude of industries: Academic, Aviation, Business Consulting, Construction, Energy, Environmental, Food & Beverage, Government, Health Care, Industrial, Information Technology, Media, Medical Devices, Medical Research, Mining, Mobile Devices, Not for Profit, Restaurant, Retail, Software, Solar, Sports Apparel, and Travel. Mont is a graduate of Connecticut College.
Portrait of Bob Roche Bob Roche began his career at WGBH-TV in Boston. He has worked on such national productions as Bodywatch, NOVA, Earthkeeping, Martha Stewart, Cats & Dogs and The Great Outdoors. Bob has also been a Series Producer for WGBH’s Educational Productions creating programs about science and learning for the National Science Foundation, Smithsonian Institution and the Annenberg Foundation. Bob’s work has been recognized with numerous awards including an Emmy for Rhythm of Learning, a program highlighting how music was reintroduced to public schools. At DigiNovations, Bob has produced outstanding work for such clients as Piper Aircraft, Appalachian Mountain Club, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Tactical Communications Group and the Museum of Science. Bob is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communications with concentrations in photography, television and film.
Portrait of Paul Stephens Paul Stephens is our senior editor and a masterful craftsman with both Avid and Final Cut Pro editing suites. Paul has spent most of his professional career in Los Angeles, working with the industry’s top advertising agencies and directors. Paul has worked on spots for Apple, Dodge, Ford, John Deere, Kelloggs, Latisse, Qwest, State Farm Insurance and Time Warner Cable, to name just a few. He has collaborated with top commercial directors including, James Mangold, François Vogel, Claus Obermeyer and Brett Ratner. Paul is a graduate of the University of Missouri.
Portrait of Julianne Robillard You will most likely hear Julianne Robillard’s friendly voice when you call our studio. She also possesses a great sense of design as well as an inherent talent as an editor. Julianne’s range of abilities have allowed her to contribute to hundreds of DigiNovations productions and to the design elements for the new DigiNovations website. Julianne has a degree in digital media from Merrimack College.
Portrait of Eileen Baird Eileen Baird is gifted with both numbers and programming. She handles the financial side of DigiNovations while sharing her skills in web development. Eileen has been a driving force in creating the technical underpinnings of our new website. Eileen also spends time crafting the custom code for many of our online video solutions. Eileen attended the University of Glasgow, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering. She later received a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

DigiNovations is a privately-owned Massachusetts corporation based in Concord, Massachusetts.  A DigiNovations technology spin-off, KnowledgeVision Systems, is the creator of the KnowledgeVision software platform, a new platform for creating compelling online presentations.
